Coordinating movement with deep breathing and sound is the core of kundalini: learn a powerful tool for succeeding in your life. Kundalini gently transforms our central nervous system and glands, gateways to our experience. Move and meditate with BASIC motions and sound -- it’s fun and different. Appropriate for all skill-levels and ages, great for beginners, modifications encouraged.

Each one-hour includes:

  • tune-in, focusing our energy

  • warm-ups

  • a kriya which is a specific series of timed movements combined with breath for a specific effect

  • a mantra sung (chanted) to music

“Hope is not a prediction of the future, it’s a declaration of what is possible.” -Yogi Bhajan

Required: Bring a yoga mat or something to sit on and, if desired, a cushion. Chairs are available to use. Yoga gear welcome but not necessary, but do wear something warm and comfortable to move in.

Chants we use

Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo

“I bow to infinite creative energy.”

Ong = infinite creative energy (not “om”)
Namo = I bow
Guru = inner teacher (inside us) who transforms us from dark (gu) to light (ru)
Dev (pronounced dave”) = transparent
Namo = I bow

Long Time Sunshine prayer

[Second verse has additional “Guide Your Way On]

May the long-time sun
Shine upon you
All love surround you
And the pure light
Within you
Guide your way on
Guide your way on
