Using specific movements and deep breathing, learn powerful, non-drug tools for moving through life. Unlike more common forms of yoga, such as hatha, Kundalini, the Yoga of Awareness, uses sound through chants and intentional breath to support the central nervous system and glands, gateways to our experience of life. Appropriate for all skill-levels and ages.

Each one-hour 15 minute class includes:

  • tune-in, focusing our energy

  • warm-ups

  • a kriya which is a specific series of timed movements combined with breath to create a specific effect.

  • a mantra sung (chanted) to music

“Kundalini Yoga is the science to unite the finite with Infinity, and it’s the art to experience Infinity in the finite.” -Yogi Bhajan

Required: Bring a yoga mat or something comfortable to sit on and, if desired, a cushion. Chairs are available to use. Yoga gear welcome but not necessary, but do wear something comfortable to move in.

Led by Kelly Davis. Kelly started a regular kundalini practice in May 2017 and has certifications in kundalini Vitality & Stress and LifeCycles & Lifestyles; in September 2019 she will start the basic teacher training Foundations course. On a personal note, she credits kundalini yoga with helping her transform and heal from protracted antidepressant withdrawal.

Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo

“I bow to infinite creative energy.”

Ong = infinite creative energy (not “om”)
Namo = I bow
Guru = inner teacher (inside us) who transforms us from dark (gu) to light (ru)
